Safeguarding

A team of safeguarding volunteers are totally committed towards safeguarding procedures and make sure that St Charles is a safe environment.

St Vincent de Paul

The SVP (St Vincent de Paul Society) is an international Christian voluntary organization dedicated to tackling poverty and disadvantage by providing direct practical assistance to anyone in need. Visiting the sick, lonely, housebound, the addicted, the imprisoned and those suffering from disabilities forms a large proportion of the Society's work.

The SVP operates in small groups called 'Conferences' which are generally based in local parishes. Our own parish group meets regularly (every fortnight) to review their work as well as allocating future work in a spirit of prayer and mutual support. The main work of St Charles' Conference is concentrated on visiting within the parish.
